Privacy and terms of use

What we keep about you, why, and for how long — and how you may use the recordings.

In short

You can browse, listen and download without an account and without telling us anything about yourself. We sell no one's data, show no ads, and use no tracking cookies.

Requests and feedback

If you send feedback or a request (such as “incorrect information” or “I have a better copy”), your name and phone number are optional and only asked for if you want a reply. Only the site's team sees them, to answer you. Contact details are deleted automatically after 180 days, and attachments after 30 days.

Statistics

We count listens and visits to learn what helps people — with no cookies and no identifier that follows you between visits: a temporary number forgotten when the page closes. Your IP address is turned into an irreversible code to protect the site from abuse, and is never stored as it is.

The AI assistant

When you ask the assistant, the text of your question is sent to an AI provider (such as Google Gemini, Groq or OpenRouter) to write the answer. We don't keep your conversation — it stays in the page and is gone when you close it — so please don't type personal information. Its answers are automatic and can be wrong. When you ask for answers read aloud: your device's own voice is used if it has one; otherwise the answer's text (or the site tour's) is sent to Google Gemini to be turned into speech, and the resulting audio is kept for reuse with no information about you.

My library

Your favourites and playlists are kept on your device only and never sent to us. A shared playlist link carries only its name and the recordings' numbers.

Using the recordings

The recordings are for personal listening and the public good. Downloading is available only where the recording's owner allowed it, and sharing by link is welcome. They may not be sold, republished commercially, edited in a way that changes their meaning, or attributed to anyone but their reciter. If you hold rights to a recording and want it changed or removed, write to us through “Suggestion or feedback” and we will respond.

Fatwa and religious content

This site is an archive of recitations and lectures, not a fatwa authority. The assistant does not issue religious rulings — for those, consult the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (Awqaf) or trusted scholars. Lecture texts are reviewed before the assistant relies on them.

Contact

For any question about your data, or to ask for it to be deleted sooner, use “Suggestion or feedback” on the home page, quoting your request reference if you have one.

The Durar Khorfakkan app

Recitations, lessons and prayer times in your pocket, with offline listening and alerts. Links people share with you open straight in the app.
